Do you require an upfront deposit to start a project?
Yes. For Fixed-Scope Projects and Phased Engagements, we typically split the investment into predictable milestone payments, starting with an initial deposit (usually 30% to 50% depending on the project size) to secure your team and kick off the strategy phase. For Monthly Retainers (like ongoing App Development or Security monitoring), we bill a flat rate at the beginning of each monthly cycle.
What happens if a project scope changes halfway through? Are there hidden fees?
We hate surprise bills as much as you do. If you decide you want to add a new feature, a different fabric layout, or an extra dataset mid-project, we will never just build it and surprise you with an invoice. Instead, we initiate a formal Change Order. We map out the extra hours and costs, present them to you, and get your explicit signature before a single minute of new work is done. If you don't approve it, the scope stays exactly as originally agreed.
What happens if a project takes longer than your team expected?
If the delay is on our end—such as an engineering roadblock or a design iteration taking longer than anticipated—and we are on a Fixed-Scope contract, you do not pay a penny more. We honor our original quote. The only time timelines and costs shift upward is if the delay is caused by external dependencies (e.g., waiting weeks for a factory to ship samples, or delays in your team providing data access) or if you request a scope change.
Are there any hidden recurring fees after a project is finished?
No. Once a fixed-scope project—like a Go-To-Market Strategy, a Packaging Design, or a Data Analysis report—is complete and paid for, you owe us nothing. You own the assets completely. For digital systems like Mobile Apps or AI Pipelines, you will only have ongoing third-party costs that you pay directly to providers (such as Google Cloud, Apple App Store fees, or hosting servers). If you want us to manage those servers for you long-term, we can set up a separate, optional Digital Infrastructure maintenance retainer.
Can we pause or scale down a monthly retainer if our budget shifts?
Yes. Our monthly retainers are designed to be flexible. If your internal timeline shifts or your budget needs to be reallocated, we require a 30-day written notice to pause or scale down your dedicated team layout. This gives us enough time to safely wind down ongoing sprints, document the current code or infrastructure layout, and hand everything over cleanly so you can pick right back up whenever you are ready.
